Evelyn I. Chironis (nee Abbrancati), 92, of Romansville, formerly of St. James, NY, passed away on July 16, 2015.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1922, she was the daughter of the late Elvira and Joseph Abbrancati. Evelyn worked as a librarian at Stonybrook University for 18 years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Chironis; the loving mother of Thea J. Mahard (Andrew) and Philip N. Chironis; the dear sister of John Abbrancati and the late Venice Pinto; and the loving grandmother of Emma, Jack, Cathryn, and Alexandra.
