Elizabeth E. Sammond, 98, of West Chester, PA and formerly of Whiting, NJ, passed away on March 21, 2018.
Born in New London, CT in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosemary (nee Sylvie) Saunders. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, bowling, and going to the casino. She was a Cub Scout Leader and volunteered at a hospital. Elizabeth was skilled at baking and crewelwork.
She was the beloved wife of the late George Sammond, Jr.; loving mother of George Sammond, III (the late Jean), Ronald Sammond, Douglas Sammond (Sally), and the late Darla Irvine; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Tuesday, March 27th from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 South 17th Avenue, Coatesville, PA 19320, followed by her Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the MS Society, 30 S. 17th Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated.
