Elizabeth T. Morgan

November 5, 1945 — January 8, 2024

Elizabeth T. “Betsy” Morgan (nee Trudeau), age 78, of Wayne, PA, Vero Beach FL, and Deer Isle, ME, passed away on January 8, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1945, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Barbara Higham (nee Winner) Trudeau. Betsy attended Shipley School, Bryn Mawr, PA and St. Margaret’s School, Tappahannock, VA. She went to Middlebury College, VT and graduated from UC Berkeley, CA. 

Betsy was heavily involved with the Philadelphia Zoo, the Museum of Art, the P.E.O Sisterhood, and the Pi Phi International Women’s fraternity. She volunteered at Episcopal Academy, Sedgely Boathouse, and the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. Elizabeth was a member of the Junior League of Philadelphia, the Union League, Merion Golf Club, St. David’s Golf Club, Island Country Club, and the Moorings Club, Vero Beach, FL. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and encouraged her family to do the same. Betsy was beloved as a bridge partner and admired for her needlepoint artistry. Betsy also loved animals, and was especially devoted to her dogs.  

Betsy was the beloved wife of Howard Morgan; loving mother of Howard Randall “Randy” Morgan, Jr. (Lynn), Carl Gissler “Chip” Morgan (Kathleen), and Anna Morgan Cassidy; adoring grandmother of Natalie, Daniel, Kate, Georgia, and Justin Morgan and Tyler and Auden Cassidy.

A Celebration of Life for Betsy will be held on February 10, 2024, 12:00 PM at Merion Golf Club, 450 Ardmore Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003.Valet parking will be available.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Main Line Animal Rescue, 1149 Pike Springs Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425, mlar.org, or to Island Food Pantry, P.O. Box 12, Deer Isle, Maine 04627, would be appreciated.
