Elizabeth M. Pierce

Elizabeth “Betty” M. Pierce (née Knapp), 93, of Exton, PA passed away on May 1, 2026.

Born in 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, Betty was the daughter of the late Anton and Mary (née Hollennak) Knapp.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Cecil “Giff” Gifford Pierce; loving mother of Kathy Logue (Paul), Gifford Pierce (Susan) and Karen Gramling (the late Tom); devoted grandmother of Jacqueline Warn, Stephen Logue, Ali Crooks, Katie McCann, Jessica Gramling and Jack Gramling; Great-grandmother of Joseph Warn, CeCe Crooks, Brynn McCann and Ellie Crooks; dear sister of Gertrude McCausland and Marie Neyer.

Betty always liked playing games, especially Scrabble, Rummikub and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed being a secretary for the family business and going to Delaware Park. As a dedicated wife and mother, Betty loved baking, cooking and entertaining, having her family for the holidays and baking special cakes for family birthdays. There was always laughter in her presence and she was known for telling jokes. Betty took great pride in her dress and always looking her best.

Together, Betty and Giff were always there to help anyone in need, including their children, grandchildren and extended family also. They would take them on outings, provide meals, help families during times of loss and on and on. There are innumerable memories of their selfless giving of time and attention.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM followed by her Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Donohue Funeral Home, 43W Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA. Interment at Faggs Manor Cemetery, 508 Street Rd, Cochranville, PA
