Elizabeth "Jean" Richardson

Elizabeth “Jean” Richardson, 95, born in Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023.

She was a lifelong resident of Delaware County; including Havertown and Broomall.  Her last residence was Arbor Terrace at Willistown, PA, where she met many new friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Edward J. and Elizabeth K. Corner, husband, Lewis S. Richardson, Sr., son, Edward C. Richardson, step-grandson, Drew Carroll.

Survived by her son, Lewis S. Richardson, Jr. (Susan), her grandchildren, Brian Richardson (Katie), Shannon Vlahos (Nick), Matthew Richardson, and step-grandson, Eric Carroll (Michelle).  Her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Wyatt, Brynne, Josie, Taylor, Madeline, Carson, and Luke, all who brought her much joy!

Jean, along with her husband, started The Richardson Agency in 1968.  She continued to work there with her son until her retirement in 2017 at 90 years old.

Jean was married at, and a longtime member for over 50 years at Llanerch Country Club, Havertown, PA.  At Llanerch, she was a member of the Bridge Team and played against many Country Clubs in the area, she completed at a high level.  She loved playing games of any type and of course, winning.  She was also a follower of the Phillies and Eagles.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, where friends and relatives may greet the family from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300, followed by her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM.  Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
