Eleanor "Ellie" Howe, 85, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on February 22, 2018.
Born in West Philadelphia, PA in 1932, she was the daughter of the late James and Frances (nee Granahan) Early. Ellie was a devout Catholic and became a Eucharistic minister at SS Simon & Jude Church. She was a member of the choir and also started a bereavement group there. Ellie enjoyed travelling and she visited many places including the Holy Land and Rome. She and her husband, David, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Ireland and their 30th in England.
Ellie was the beloved wife of the late David P. Howe; loving mother of Regina Anne Beirne (Dan), Barbara M. Moran (Mike), Nancy F. Howe, Larry C. Howe, the late David W. Howe, and the late Gregory J.; dear sister of Betty Jane Barr (the late George); also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-10:30 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA, 610-431-9000, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
