Eileen "Pat" Patricia (Hunt) Kahl, of West Chester, PA, passed away on March 16, 2018.
Born on September 12th, 1934, in Far Rockaway, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Teresa (nee McDonald) Hunt.
Pat received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Long Island University and attended graduate school at Columbia University. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Pat taught kindergarten and substituted in the West Chester Area School District after her children were raised and before her grandchildren arrived. She was an accomplished piano player and was also a gourmet cook. An extremely friendly person, Pat made friends easily with everyone she met. She loved traveling to Ireland, and enjoyed visiting her relatives in County Cavan where her mother was born and raised.
Pat was the beloved wife of Louis R. Kahl and would have celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary in December; loving mother of Kathleen K. Stetson (Jim), Nancy K. Raynor, Patricia A. Kahl, Jeannie Mazur, and Louis R. Kahl III (Elizabeth); and dear sister of Clairita Curcillo (Arthur). She was survived by her 7 loving grandchildren Katherine Raynor, Steven Raynor, Heather Mazur, Laura Mazur, Elena Stetson, Morgan Kahl, and Reagan Kahl. She was predeceased by her siblings, Donald Hunt and Joan Lotterhos.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Calling Hours 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2018 and 9:30 -10:15 AM Wednesday, March 21 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 AM at SS. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
