Edward Allen Harman

Apr 4, 1970 — Oct 26, 2026

Edward Allen Harman, age 56, of Havertown, PA, passed away on October 26, 2026. Born in Ft. Belvoir, VA, he was the beloved son of Richard A. and Patricia A. (nee Beck) Harman.

Edward was the loving father of Samantha L. Harman and Max E. Harman and caring brother of Matthew B. Harman. He is survived by these and many other loving family members, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

As a certified horticulturalist and grounds manager Edward lent his talents to the field of landscape architecture. He worked for a variety of local businesses in the community including Waverly Heights, Bryn Mawr College, and the Borough of Narberth. Through many years of diligent efforts, he accumulated many accolades and was well respected in the industry. That work ethic began in his younger formative years as a service member to the community, Eagle Scout and through his enterprising start in landscaping. Ed was always interested in history and researching interesting topics. He also was always interested in giving back and providing assistance to all those he cared about. His love for family brought a desire for cooking and pitching in to host family events. His love for Max brought interests in salsa making, Pokémon cards and football. His love for Samantha brought him many irreplaceable experiences alongside her in cheerleading and softball. He would adapt and become of service in exactly the way that you needed. That’s where his greatest love was shown.

We welcome friends, workmates, family, and anyone who wishes to join us at a small informal gathering at his house at 808 Hirst Ave. Havertown on Saturday 11/7/26 from 1-5pm and Sunday 11/8/26 from 1-5pm. Come enjoy some company and tell stories about his life and how his generosity of spirit has touched your life. Nothing formal, please.
