Dr. Thomas Mallozzi

Dr. Thomas Mallozzi, 88, of Collingdale, PA, passed away on September 27, 2026. Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Montanaro) Mallozzi for 63 years, and son of the late Rose (nee Santucci) and Anthony Mallozzi.

Born in South Philadelphia in 1937, Thomas moved to Collingdale as a young boy and always called it home. He attended St. Joseph's University and Temple Dental School, completed his oral surgery training at Buffalo General Hospital, and served two years as a Captain in the United States Air Force in Savannah, Georgia. He built a long career as an oral surgeon, with practices in Clifton Heights and South Philadelphia.

Thomas had a deep love of family, history, and his Italian heritage. His warmth made him a favorite with everyone he met, and he built many lasting friendships that he truly cherished. He was a gifted pianist who loved performing with a small band in his retirement years, a model train enthusiast, a proud patriot, and a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan.

In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he is survived by his son Christopher; his daughter Connie (Capparell) and her husband, Jack; and his daughter Laura (Chaves) and her husband, Sean, and his four grandchildren, Tina, Nicole, Nicholas, and Giovanna.

Relatives and friends are invited to Thomas’s viewing on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at St. Joseph Church, Collingdale, PA followed by his funeral mass at 10:30AM. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Collingdale Fire Company.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
