Dorothy Charbel Zackey

June 17, 2024 — March 19, 2026

Dorothy Charbel Zackey, beloved daughter of David and Colleen Zackey, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. She was born on June 17, 2024. Though her time on earth was brief, Dorothy’s life was filled with profound love, strength, and grace that touched all who knew her.

Dorothy was the cherished sister of Josephine, who adored her deeply. She is survived by her loving grandparents, Michael and Eileen Boland, Wayne Zackey, and Linda Zackey; her great-grandmother, Mary Boland; and her great-aunt, Vicki Goehring. She is also survived by her devoted aunts and uncles: Jeremy and Rebekah Zackey; Jonathan Zackey and Chu Li; Joseph and Karen Boland; Kevin and Mary Orsborn; Matthew and Gina Boland; Edmond and Kathleen Matta; and Kent and Patricia Sarkkinen.

Dorothy is further survived by her beloved cousins: Keegan, Claire, Aiden, and Cameron Zackey; Luke and Brooke Zackey; Joseph, Thomas, Samantha, James, Francis, and Paul Boland; Kevin, Daniel, Brendan, and Rose Orsborn; Michael, Grace, and Luke Boland; Brigid and Angelique Matta; and Jude Sarkkinen. She is also lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Dorothy’s life was centered in the love of her family and home. She brought joy in the quiet, everyday moments - through her presence, her resilience, and the deep connection she shared with those who cared for her. Despite significant medical challenges, Dorothy revealed a strength and peace that inspired all around her, drawing her family closer in faith, love, and gratitude for each day.

Baptized into the Catholic faith, Dorothy was blessed with her godparents, Mary and Kevin Orsborn, who shared in loving and supporting her throughout her life. In her journey, we witnessed the mystery of God’s love and the quiet beauty of a soul made perfectly in His image. We take comfort in our faith, trusting that Dorothy is now at peace in the arms of Jesus, free from suffering, and held in the fullness of eternal life.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at Saint Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, Pennsylvania 19382. Interment will follow at Saint Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Dorothy’s life and the joy she brought into the world.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the therapists, medical teams, and caregivers who walked alongside Dorothy with compassion and dedication, as well as to the many family members and friends who supported and lifted us up with love and prayer.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalm 34:18

Dorothy’s life, though short, changed our family forever and taught us more about love, faith, and the meaning of grace than we could have ever imagined.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Dorothy’s memory to Think Hope Foundation - https://www.thinkhope.org/, a nonprofit organization dedicated to unleashing the power of hope in a world of despair through Christ-centered outreach and ministry.

Dorothy will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever a part of our family.

With love and faith,
Mom and Dad
