Dorothy Zierle

Dorothy M. “Dot” or “Dottie” Zierle (nee Frederickson), 103 years young, of Haverford, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on November 28, 2021 at The Quadrangle.   Born in Penns Grove, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Susan Frederickson (nee McCartan).

Dorothy lived in Drexel Hill for over 60 years and was a long time member of St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church and St. Bernadette’s Senior Citizens Club.  Dottie had been employed as a waitress in her younger years.

A highlight of her life was a visit to Ireland with her daughter and granddaughter and a cruise to Mexico with her 3 daughters to celebrate her 75th birthday.

She loved her family and the Mummers.  She was known as the best sandwich maker in the world.  She was a caring, loving person, always ready to help her neighbors, when needed.  She was a very kind and good-hearted person.

Dottie was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Zierle, her son, William Zierle, III and her daughter Dorothy Suchinsky (the late Joseph).  She is survived by her loving daughters Joan Waterhouse (Donald) and Rosemary Fullam (the late Joseph).  Also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
