Dorothy McGinnis

Dorothy McGinnis (nee Carreon), age 71, of Springfield, PA, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021.

Dorothy had a strong connection to her Catholic faith.  She also enjoyed summer vacations with her family in Ocean City, NJ and loved to be out on the dance floor with her friends!  She was a coach for cheerleading and was always alongside of her daughter’s events cheering them on.  She found joy in all of her 9 grandchildren and attended all of their special events and extracurricular activities.

Dorothy was the loving mother of Bernadette Salla, Mary Theresa McGinnis, Patricia Gaynor, and Stephanie McGinnis; the devoted grandmother of Stephanie, James, Natalie, Gabrielle, Gianna, Alexander, Allison, Erin, and Cassie.  She is also survived by her devoted friend, Dominic Condo, Sr., and was predeceased by her brother, Robert Carreon.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Friday, November 5, 2021, 10:30 – 11:30 AM at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA  19026, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM.  Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Camilla Hall - Sisters of IHM, 1 Our Lady Circle, Malvern, PA  19355, would be appreciated.
