Dorothy M. Guidone

Dorothy “Dot” M. Guidone, 95, of West Chester, PA, passed away April 6, 2024.

Born August 19, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Elwyn, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Estelle (nee Tagmire) Beckle.

Dot graduated from Notre Dame in Moylan in 1946 and Temple University where she majored in languages. She travelled the world and lived in Mexico and Florida for a few years and settled in West Chester in her final years to be close to her family.

Dot was the beloved wife of 51 years of the late Joseph A. Guidone; loving aunt of Vince Gorman (Karen), Pattie Price (Ed), Lori McGraw (Bob), Karen McCawley (Blake), Leesa Carlin (George), Anne McNally (Tom), Candace DiCarlo, Doug DiCarlo, and Eric DiCarlo; caring aunt-in-law of Kim McCawley; and adoring great-aunt of 11 great nieces and nephews and 15 great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister Dolores McCawley; two older sisters Marie Gorman and Anne Griffith; and nephews: Dennis Gorman, Joseph McCawley Jr. and Donald DiCarlo.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, April 12, 2024 at Saints Simon and Jude Church Chapel, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
