Donald Francis Tokash, 81 years of Berwyn passed away at home on April 9, 2026. Born October 30, 1944 in Plainfield, NJ, son of Frank and Mary Tokash of Westfield NJ. Don was predeceased by his son Greg and brother, Frank (Loretta Dennis). He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catharine “Kit”, their daughter, Jenn (John) Gagne, granddaughters Aiden Gagne, Madison Tokash, Ella Gagne and Kit’s sister and brother-in-law Peg and Bob Moore and their family. Don attended Westfield High School and the Pennsylvania State University where he met his future wife in their freshman year. After graduation and their wedding, he served 3 years, 4 months in the US Navy as Engineering Officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wasp. Upon discharge Don attended Columbia University where he earned an MBA. Don enjoyed a career in sales with ADP and several other software companies. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church (Berwyn) where he served as Treasurer for 21 years in addition to many other activities including singing in the church choir.
Don had a lifelong love of baseball from little league to playing 3rd base at Penn State. He coached many of Greg’s teams as well. He was an avid fan of both the Philadelphia Phillies and Penn State football. He enjoyed traveling, golf, reading and more recently tracing his ancestry. Kit and Don continued the tradition started by Kit’s parents, of summer visits to Ocean City NJ. where their kids and grandkids from both coasts spent precious time together.
As his health declined Don continued to receive love and support from family, dear friends, Trinity family and from his extensive medical team. He was brave as he faced each challenge, he never complained. He will be missed by all who loved and cared for him.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 31 and 2 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 640 Berwyn Ave., Berwyn, PA.
