Donald J. McCabe

Donald J. McCabe, age 89, of Folsom, PA, passed away on January 16, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1934, he was the son of the late Francis D. and Margaret (nee Wilson) McCabe. Donald served honorably in the US Army. He worked as an Accountant for PECO. Donald was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers. He enjoyed cooking and doing the crossword and cryptogram puzzles. Donald was very bright and curious and he loved to learn. He could often be found watching Newsmax or the History channel. His favorite topics to read about were 19^th and 20^th century history, military history, and the Cold War. Donald was a lifelong Catholic and a proud alumnus of St. Thomas More High School, Philadelphia, PA. He loved to spend time with his family.

Donald was the beloved husband of Sieglinde (nee Reinhold) McCabe; loving father of Patricia M. Allman (George), Kimberly A. McCabe, and Jennifer N. Hyndman (Nate); caring grandfather of Stephen Allman, Erin Hyndman, and Daniel Hyndman and great-grandfather of Ian Allman; dear brother of Caroline Milligan, John McCabe (Rose), Joseph McCabe, Geraldine Skaziak (Butch), and Thomas McCabe; predeceased by his siblings Margaret "Peggy" Dannaway, Francis McCabe, and David Waters. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 208 Milmont Avenue, Folsom, PA 19033, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
