Donald John Broadway

Donald John Broadway, 74, of Downingtown, PA, passed away July 26, 2026.

Born in Chicago, IL, he was a son of the late John Robert and Julia (nee MacDonald) Broadway.

Don was raised on the south side of Chicago and was very proud of his roots. He graduated from St. Joseph University in Indiana with a degree in Finance. He later moved to Wilmington, DE, with his family for his father’s work. Don was a Mortgage Broker for many years, even owning his own company.

Don enjoyed 37 wonderful years with Anne. They attributed their longevity to their mutual love of sports and animal welfare. Don’s kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all.

Don was the loving husband of Anne (nee Dougherty) Broadway; loving step-father of Erik (Christine); dear brother of Barbara Broadway; proud uncle of Amy Walsh (Jay), Jodi Rectanus (Bill), and Jay Troth; caring great-uncle of Connor, Tyler, Jessica, Chloe, and Kate. He will also be missed by his dog, Buddy, and his cat, Jynxie. He was predeceased by his siblings: Maribeth and Paul; and his newphew, Ted Troth.

Services will be held at a later date.
