Dolores "Dee" Whalen

Dolores "Dee" Miriam Whalen, 75, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away February 27, 2021.

Born September 11, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (nee Callahan) Whalen.

She worked in the accounting departments for over 25 years for Mutual, Willard, and then Comcast.

Dee was a faithful friend, devoted sister, daughter, cousin, and aunt. She had a healthy sense of humor and loved to laugh with friends and family. She spent a lot of time with her long-time partner, Tim and their close friend, “little” John. She had a love for cats and probably would have kept more than the 2 she had if she could. She was an avid country music fan and loved watching old movies especially John Wayne movies.

She was the beloved life partner of the late Timothy Moore; dear sister of Kathleen Fegely (the late Kenneth Sr.); and adoring aunt of Kenneth Fegely, Jr. (Julie), Kathleen Mecouch (Steven), Kristina Taylor, Kimberly Kerr (Edward), Kevin Fegely (Karen), and William Whalen, III (Cori). She was predeceased by her siblings: Miriam Whalen, William Whalen, Jr., and Eleanor (Bob) Halstead.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:30 AM. Interment Ss Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.

Anyone attending the funeral services must wear a mask, as required by CDC regulations.
