Dolores Muldoon

Dolores A. "Doll" Muldoon (nee Dougherty), age 87, of Broomall, PA, passed away on March 20, 2018. Born in Margate, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie Dougherty (nee McCarthy.
Dolores was a graduate of St. Leonard's Academy in Philadelphia, PA. She had strong Catholic beliefs and raised her seven children by sending them to Catholic Schools which included St. Philomena in Lansdowne, PA. St. Charles Borromeo in Drexel Hill, PA and Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High Schools in Drexel Hill, PA. She was a parishioner of St. Philomena Church from 1960-2010 and also St. Charles Borromeo Church from 1971-1984. She prayed the rosary daily. She relied on the Pink Sisters for prayers when they were needed for her family.
Dolores gave unconditional love to her children and grandchildren. She loved being with her family at family celebrations. She did not need to travel or have any extras in her life, she only wanted to be with her loving husband, children and grandchildren.
Dolores was Irish through and through. She was a long time listener and caller to WIP Radio (under several aliases "Ann" and "Gloria") and a lifetime Eagles fan from Franklin Field to the Linc.
She sang Broadway tunes from Irene, West Side Story, Hello Dolly and the Music Man to her children. In her later years, she enjoyed watching Blue Bloods.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward L. Muldoon. She is survived by her loving children Daniel P. (Mary), Patrick E. (Lisa), John G. "Jack" (Jackie), Joann A. DeStefano (William), Dennis M., Kathleen Schultz (William) and Ann Marie Thomas (Greg). Also survived by her 15 grandchildren Eddie, Dan, Michael, Jennifer, Mandie, Billy, Rebecca, Grace, Jake, Brady, Kyle, Christopher, Shannon, Zachary and MacKenzie and her 10 great-grandchildren Joshua, Ryan, Keri-Rose, Phiona, Ziggy, Billy, Jr., Angelina, Alexis, Lelia and Quinn.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, March 26, 2018 6:00-9:00 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass Tuesday, March 27, 2018 10:30 AM St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Convent of Divine Love (Pink Sisters), 2212 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130 would be appreciated.
