Dennis Patrick Enoch

Dennis Patrick Enoch “Denny” aka Denny St. John passed away suddenly on August 29, 2025, while visiting friends in CA. Denny was a loving and devoted husband to Kathryn (nee Myers) with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. He was a loving and supportive father to Ryan who describes his father as his “greatest cheerleader.” He is predeceased by his parents and older brother Brian Enoch (survived by his wife, Andrea).

Denny was born January 1, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois to Clive and Marie. His family moved often before settling in Tucson, AZ where Denny rode his first motorcycle at 13. This was a lifelong passion for nearly 65 years.

While working in the mailroom of an insurance office, Denny enlisted in the US Navy at 18. He was a Vietnam Era veteran who worked stateside in Naval Communications. Following honorable discharge from the Navy, he returned to the insurance industry and attended classes in broadcasting.

Denny didn’t graduate from broadcasting school as he was offered his first job as a disk jockey in Lake Tahoe. He had a long career as a disk jockey as Denny St. John on top 40 radio stations in CA, wrote and produced radio commercials, emceed concerts, appeared in TV commercials, and was the voice of KOFY TV in San Francisco.

April 6, 1974, Denny made a life-altering decision to get sober and celebrated 51 years of sobriety this year. His sobriety was incredibly important, and he helped so many others struggling with addiction. The men he sponsored over the years became life-long friends who loved him fiercely.

In 1986 Denny announced that he wanted to go to law school. He graduated from Monterey College of Law, passed the CA Bar Exam, and was admitted to the CA bar in 1993. During his career as a lawyer, Denny facilitated adoptions, sent couples seeking divorce to marriage counseling, and recovered damages for so many people injured in tragic accidents. He continued to work until 3 years ago.

Losing Denny leaves a hole in our hearts. He will be deeply missed.
