David Paul Rapine

David Paul Rapine, 82, a resident of St. Martha Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 15, 2026. 

Born in 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Wilbert and Thelma (Uttermul) Rapine of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. David formerly lived on Powelton Avenue in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, as well as at Simpson Gardens in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Lois Mae Rapine, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

David was a faithful member of Maranatha Church of Darby, Pennsylvania, where he loved to sing with his sister while their parents accompanied them instrumentally. He most recently attended Bible Baptist Church of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. 

David was an enthusiast for fire trucks and would listen for hours to his scanner for fire calls. He was also a railroad buff and assisted each year with the setup of his family's model trains. He also loved Civil War history and memorabilia, and enjoyed his family's time together in Ocean City, New Jersey. 

David loved to laugh and was always in a positive mood. The sound of his laughter will be missed. 

He is survived by cousins Tom (Becky) Slovenski and Jim (Joan) Burton. David's wishes were to be cremated and buried alongside his family at Forest Hills Cemetery in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. Burial is scheduled for July 27, 2026, at 11 am. All arrangements are being handled by the Donohue Funeral Home of Downingtown, Pennsylvania. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Marsha Guilfoy Baron for her love and attention to David for many years.
