David J. Petz, IV, age 85, of Lansdowne, PA, passed away on May 15, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Veronica (nee Myles) and David J. Petz, III.
David served as a Tool Analyst in the aircraft industry, a career that mirrored his meticulous nature and resourcefulness. His passion for precision and craftsmanship not only defined his professional pursuits but also shaped his personal hobbies. He found great joy in building and working on model planes, a testament to his engineering spirit and inventive mind. In quieter moments, David loved to challenge himself with crossword puzzles, engaging his sharp intellect and creativity. A man of diverse interests, he nurtured an impressive collection of tee-shirts, each with its own unique story, capturing moments and memories of his adventures.
A Navy veteran, David carried within him the values of service, dedication, and compassion that served him well in all aspects of his life. His deep faith was evident in his practices, marking him as a devoted member of the Catholic community, and an active participant in the Knights of Columbus and the Marine Corps League, where he found camaraderie and shared purpose with fellow veterans.
Those lucky enough to have known David recognized his unwavering devotion along with his affectionate and loving nature towards his wife. He and his wife delighted in everyday outings and ordinary moments together. He devoted meticulous care to his trucks, reflecting his love for precision and detail in every facet of his life.
David was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Petz (nee Spence); father of David J. Petz (Karen) and Michael K. Petz, Step-father to Monica L. Matlock (Matthew), Alizia A. Cirenza (Bartholomew), and J. David Fleming (Kim); pride filled grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of Veronica Petz and the late Theresa Doll.
Family and friends are invited to David’s Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday May 24, 2025 at St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Ave, Primos, PA 19018, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Private.
