David John Downie, 63, of FL, passed away September 13, 2018.
Born May 30, 1955 in Chester, PA, he was a son of the late Samuel Jackson and Rosalie (nee Todd) Downie. David attended Chester High School and served in the US Army.
David was most recently employed as a patient care technician within the Veterans Administration.
He was the father of Tami A. Motes (Christopher), Kelly L. Giordano (Anthony), Tara J. King (J.T.); brother of John J. Downie and the late Mary S. and Richard S.; and grandfather to Cooper, Peyton, Mia, Ella, Kiersten, and Jared.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11 AM at SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-696-3624. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Coatesville VA Hospital, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320
