Dana S. Vink, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 29th, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was a beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a devoted friend. Her kindness and gentle spirit endeared her to everyone who knew her, and she maintained many lifelong friendships.
Dana was born on May 5th, 1966, in Philadelphia. She was a graduate of George School in Newtown and LaSalle University in Philadelphia. After college, she worked as an accounting manager at Newsnet before she lovingly dedicated her time to being a stay-at-home mom for her children, a role she cherished.
A woman of deep faith, Dana was devoted to God and treasured her time working with Community Bible Study. She served as the Children’s Director and later as a Coordinator, forming many meaningful and lasting relationships. Dana also worked as a Home Health Aide with Comfort Keepers, where she made heartfelt connections with her clients, who came to love her in return.
Dana found joy in spending time with her family, visiting the beach, gardening, attending concerts, enjoying girls’ trips with her college roommates, participating in Community Bible Study, and watching Phillies games.
Dana is survived by her husband, Bill Vink; her children, Erin Polen (Alex Polen), Billy Vink (Noelle Acaso Vink), Jack Vink, Paul Vink, and Mary Kate Vink; her grandson, Simon Acaso Vink; her sister, Christina Norwich of Jacksonville, North Carolina; as well as her niece, Clarissa Norwich, nephew, Joshua Norwich (Jocelyn “JoJo”), and her goddaughter, Swayzee Norwich. Treasured daughter-in-law of Jean D’Adamo.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Catharine (Trina) Taylor; her grandmother, Agatha Clemente LaBrum; and her foster parents, Uncle Paul Kerrigan and Aunt Madeline (Madge) Kerrigan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8th, at Saints Simon and Jude Church in West Chester. Viewing and visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 12:30 p.m., and then interment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated.
