Dallett Byers

Dallett Byers, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on August 11, 1958, Dallett was the beloved son of Barbara Jean Byers and the late John “Dal” Byers.

Dallett had a deep love for interacting with people. Whether relatives or strangers, he wanted to be your friend. It was hard not to smile when he was in your presence. An avid bowler, Dallett always carried his Saturday scores in his pocket (and often, they’d be better than yours!)

He will be remembered for his charismatic personality, his unconditional love, and the happiness he brought to his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Dallett is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Jean Byers; his sisters, Barbara Jean Podrost (Stephen) and Darleen Loyd (Matthew); two nieces; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John “Dal” Byers, and his sister, Paula Annette Byers.

Family and friends are invited to attend Dallett’s viewing on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Bethany Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 5 Concord Ave., Havertown, PA 19083.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dallett’s memory to the Special Olympics organization, in honor of a cause that meant so much to him.
