Dale Thomas Stesko

Dale Thomas Stesko passed away on November 16, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

The beloved son of the late Charles B. and Dorothy (nee Mack) Stesko, Dale is survived by his loving wife Maria (nee Mootz) Stesko and Children Jamie and Annie.

After completing a degree (Temple University ’78) and board-certification in architecture, Dale passionately worked in all phases of commercial and residential design and development for over 40 years as a member and colleague at Bower-Lewis-Thrower Architects, Toombs Development, Realen Properties, and finally finishing his career as vice president of MLP Ventures (O’Neill Properties).

His greatest passion were his wife Maria and two children, Jamie and Annie. Dale was born in Cumbola PA where he met his future wife in Algebra class in his Junior year of high school at Nativity BVM. It was love at first sight. Married in 1977, they spent the years together building a home and a family he treasured. They made many wonderful memories together on family vacations, and later traveling the world. He could often be found sitting at his computer planning the next itinerary.

He shared his love of travel and reading with his daughter Annie. They would often talk about their next destination and spent hours chatting about their favorite books. As a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, he watched every game with his son Jamie, yelling fervently at the tv and providing colorful commentary much to the amusement of his family.

He was loved and adored by many family including cousins, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, and dearest friends, Barry Weiss and Marc & Kris Dranoff among many others. He left an impression on everyone he met with his kindness and warmth. We will miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dale’s Visitation on Tuesday November 25, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Monica Church, 63 Main Ave, Berwyn, PA. Interment private.

To highlight the incredible care he received from the Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and Staff at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Dale’s name to The Fund for the Abramson Cancer Center - pennmedicine.org/giving/fund-for-abramson-cancer-center.
