Claudia Ramspacher

Claudia Marie Ramspacher died on August 5, 2026; she was 73 years old.

Claudia was born in Philadelphia on March 28, 1953, and lived in Havertown, Wynnewood, and, most recently, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. She attended Archbishop Prendergast High School and graduated from St. Joseph’s University in 1975, majoring in English.

She worked for the United States Government for over thirty years beginning with the Park Service before moving onto the National Archives and, ultimately, the General Services Administration where she worked for many years as a Contracting Officer. As in all aspects of her life, Claudia prided herself on being diligent, organized, and methodical, but was among the first to see the humor in a situation and delighted in the company of her peers.

Claudia was an insatiable reader who enjoyed visiting the places frequented by her favorite authors. She often visited the Hudson Valley, Massachusetts, and Maine, as well as made several trips to Europe, including a memorable family vacation to Ireland. She enjoyed music and all varieties of humor, ranging from wry to ridiculous, for which she would show appreciation with her signature snorting laughter.

Claudia is survived by her son, John Hofmann (Katheryn), and her grandchildren, Elizabeth and William Hofmann. She is predeceased by her parents, Claude and Eileen M. Ramspacher, and her sister, Eileen C. Ramspacher.

Services for Claudia will be held at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 401 Brookline Boulevard, Havertown, PA 19083, on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Viewing starts at 10:00AM with a funeral mass at 11:30AM.
