Clarence W. "Bill" Bowersox, Jr.

Clarence W. “Bill” Bowersox, Jr., 80 of Pottstown, PA, formerly of West Chester, PA, passed away on June 29, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Clare W. Bowersox (nee Bynum) and son of the late Clarence W. Bowersox and Joan (nee Hadley) Ewaka. He was also predeceased by his brothers Jeff and Jerry Bowersox.

Bill was the previous owner/operator of Bowersox Precision Casting Company in Trainer, PA. He was a member of Delaware Knights of Magic & Ring 6. Bill was a very talented magician who loved to entertain whenever given the chance. He and his late wife were a fixture at Chadds Ford Days. Clare was always making funnel cakes and Bill playing his banjo mandolin and doing magic tricks. Bill also enjoyed going to car shows with his brother-in-law, Joe and had previously owned several Studebaker cars, including an Avanti and a Hawk. He invented a pill sampler which was sold to several pharmaceutical companies. Bill also invented many magic tricks and repaired magic tricks for his fellow magicians. He was also a proud US Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.

Bill is survived by his daughter Joy Broyles, son Bill Bowersox, III (Erica), granddaughters Rebecca Broyles and Sofia Bowersox, sisters Robyn Linder (David) and Pamela Davis (Robert), and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joseph and Karen Wright, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Terrell and Aline Bynum, sister-in-law Deborah McKinney, brother-in-law William Sabatino (the late Bet), sister-in-law Jeanne Bowersox, and good friend Marina.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Service at 8:00 PM.
