Clarence "Bill" William Becker, Jr.

Clarence “Bill” William Becker, Jr., 91, of Exton, PA, formerly of Harrisburg, PA & Williamsport, PA, passed away April 22, 2023. 

Born March 13, 1932 in Harrisburg, PA, he was a son of the late Clarence William and Anna Mae (nee Lego) Becker. 

Bill was a 1950 graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA. Upon graduation, he worked as a Field Representative in the insurance industry for Penn National Insurance in Harrisburg, PA.  He retired after 42 years of service.  He was a Veteran of the Korean War during the early years of his working career.

Bill was a talented & passionate guitar player and instructor. He taught guitar at Robert M. Sides for many years in Williamsport, PA.  Although he had two jobs, he never missed driving his kids and their friends to and from their activities.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Vacationing at The Jersey Shore & Westbrook, CT with family always made him smile. 

Bill was the beloved husband of Carol Ann (nee Madigan), they would have celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary on May 3, 2023; loving father of Nancy Ellis, wife of Benny B. Ellis, Jr., and their children: Blair Ellis and Alexa Ellis; and dear father-in-law of Kathleen Becker and her children: Melissa Sweeney and Kimberly Hansen. He was predeceased by his son, William S. Becker in 2022.  Bill is survived by brothers Jerry Becker, Stephen Becker, and sister Joyce Carroll.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, May 1, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
