Clare Lydon

Clare Therese Lydon (nee Varley), age 88, of Havertown, PA, passed away on January 28, 2022.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Varley (nee Butterfield).

Clare had been employed for Bell Atlantic for 33 years.  She loved all animals, especially her dog, Teddy.  She loved to travel and enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews to Dutch Wonderland and many other places.  She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and loved her Irish heritage.

Clare was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas M. Lydon.   She is survived by her loving sisters-in-law Mary Lydon, Kathleen Joyce, Theresa Lydon and Noreen Wimmell.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews and her sister Margaret Mary Kennedy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, February 4, 2022 12 Noon-1:00 PM at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA and to her Funeral Mass at  1:00 PM.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
