Clare M. Helmig

Clare M. Helmig, a resident of Dunwoody Village for almost 19 years died on March 20, 2024. She was 92 years old. 

Born in Philadelphia, Miss Helmig was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Gertrude (nee Emig) Helmig. She was a proud graduate from J.W. Hallahan High School and was employed by PECO Energy for over 33 years, retiring in 1990.

Clare enjoyed PECOs Bowling League for 29 years. After retirement, she traveled with her dear friend, Dolores Bazis. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Newtown Square, PA. 

Loving sister of the late Robert, Edward, and Gerard Helmig. She has 13 nieces and nephews and many great and great, great nieces and nephews. She will be missed very much by the staff and residents at Dunwoody. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
