Christopher Mark Wilson

October 24, 1953 — July 8, 2025

Collegeville, PA

Christopher Mark Wilson, 71, of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, returned to the loving Lord on July 8, 2025. Born on October 24, 1953 in Fort Devens, Massachusetts; shortly thereafter his late parents, William F. Wilson and Roseanne Wilson (nee McLaughlin), moved and raised their family in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Chris enjoyed a wonderful childhood in Wayne, where strong family values and faith were at the forefront of his upbringings. He completed his schooling at Saint Katharine of Siena, Archbishop Carroll, Valley Forge Military Academy, and Wheeling Jesuit College. It was during his childhood, schooling, and involvement with sports, where Chris forged strong and lifelong friendships. An avid golfer, Chris competed and won various tournaments with Overbrook Golf Club, Junior Golf, GAP Golf, member guests, and customer outings. His love for music and concerts, as well as trivia and history, always made for interesting conversations.

After his time at Wheeling Jesuit, Chris worked alongside his father, William F., and his brother, William R., at their family business, East West Label Company, Inc. in Conshohocken, PA. Chris was the longtime President, where he instilled the company slogan of "service separates" in everything he accomplished. His quick wit, kind heart, and ability to welcome both a stranger or a friend, made him a strong connector. Chris's work ethic was always apparent, forging strong relationships with customers, vendors, and employees. As a person who liked a challenge or a special project, work never felt like work to Chris, he often would say "this is fun, not work". While building the business with his father and brother, Chris was also fortunate to work with his daughter, Christina, and saw the business grow to the 3rd generation and reach 50 years in 2023.

Chris met the love of his life, Eileen (nee Savryk), in 1979 at the Inn of the Four Falls. Marrying in 1981, Chris and Eileen enjoyed a full and happy life together for 43 years. Chris often would say, "family first". A man of old school values, one of his greatest joys with Eileen and their daughter, Christina, were family dinners together at home. These meals were usually accompanied by sports talk, work talk, and telling stories. Chris was gifted with a tremendous memory and could remember dates, special events, and fine details of various life events and even day-to-day happenings.

Chris was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan, being a faithful Eagles and Phillies season ticket holder. He enjoyed many games with his father and brother, as well as with friends. He also followed Villanova basketball and attended various games. He was a collector of a myriad of sports memorabilia, and enjoyed going to signings and meeting players. Although in later years Chris did not play golf, he followed local players and watched PGA events. Chris had a special interest in music, especially following rock artists and attending many concerts at The Main Point and other local venues. His love of history was apparent with his avid newspaper and book reading.

Chris lived with multiple sclerosis for over 25 years. Although MS affected some of his passions and his mobility declined, Chris's sense of humor and innate storytelling ability allowed him to remain connected to the people he loved the most. He cherished talking with others, and oftentimes would share a story or a memory from years past, with such great detail you felt you were there. Chris was often found calling, texting, or emailing just to say hello or sharing a favorite photo, story, song, sports talk, or memory. He always made you feel special.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Eileen and his daughter, Christina. He also leaves behind his sisters, Ann and Mary; his sister-in-law, Gerilyn; as well as extended family and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents William F., Roseanne, and his brother, William R.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, July 29 from 4:30-7 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA. Visitation will also be available on Wednesday, July 30 from 9:30-11 AM at Saint Katharine of Siena, 104 S. Aberdeen Avenue, Wayne, PA, followed by his funeral Mass at 11 AM. Gravesite rites will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 2025 Old Gulph Road, Villanova, PA.
