Christine Noble (Leadford) was born in Michigan in September 1976. A 2.8lb preemie, she thrived under her mother Pam Wefel’s care. During her childhood years, she moved with her mother and stepfather Elly Wefel multiple times, finally settling in West Chester, PA.
She attended Henderson High School in West Chester, and was active in the Color Guard. She enrolled at Millersville University in Millersville, PA for Elementary Education in 1994. During her time there she was active with the John Newman Association among other activities. While there she met her best friend and husband, Michael Noble.
Christine graduated Summa Cum Laude in 3.5 years in December 1997. Two weeks later she married Michael in January 1998. They lived in Downingtown, PA for the first year and a half before buying a house in Royersford, PA and rescuing a mutt, Buddy, shortly thereafter. One dog turned into two dogs, which turned into 3 dogs over the next few years as Christine became active with a greyhound rescue. Christine and Mike fostered lots of dogs. They moved to a single family home in Lower Pottsgrove a few years later to provide a big fenced yard for the dogs to play.
In 2006, their daughter Juliana Noble was born. Christine and Mike enjoyed many years of activities and adventures with Juliana, including a number of Caribbean vacations. Christine loved to sit on the beach and watch Juliana play in the water. She enjoyed attending festivals, bag bingo and Longwood Gardens with Juliana.
The family moved to Thorndale, PA in 2016 and the “zoo” grew to include chickens, guinea pigs, gerbils and even a rabbit.
Although she had her teaching degree, Christine never got to teach. She primarily worked in the insurance industry at Brokerage Concepts, Travelers Insurance and Sedgwick. Christine made a point of treating each of her clients like a person, not like a problem, and put in many hours to ensure they were treated right.
In 2016, Christine was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, had surgery and began treatment. She took on the embolizations, monthly injections, clinical trials and other treatments with a positive attitude. Christine’s medical team at Penn Medicine took great care of her and ensured she had the healthiest life with cancer possible for nine years.
Christine wanted to be there for her family for as long as possible. She joined Fit Body Boot Camp to regain some of the strength she’d lost recovering from surgery, and surprised herself with how much stronger and more physically fit she was able to become. She credited the staff there with helping her increase her balance and strength.
In April of this year, the family took her bucket list trip to see Vatican City, Rome, Bologna, and Venice which was a beautiful trip of a lifetime.
Christine is survived by her husband Mike and her daughter Juliana (Phoenix), as well as her mother, Pam Wefel, her father Jim Leadford, her stepmother Amy Leadford, and her half-sisters Ann and Mary. She is predeceased by her stepfather Elly Wefel. She will be greatly missed by her friends Laura and Brett Rhoads and Anne and Nathaniel Gibson, as well as many others.
