Chester Kinney

Chester Kinney, 96, of Downingtown, PA, passed away November 19, 2022.

Born January 9, 1926 in Shelbiana, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Willard and Ruth (nee Damron) Kinney.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army. Chester loved the outdoors; he was a well renowned tree surgeon and truly enjoyed tending to his trees, flowers, and yard. He was a collector of antique glass bottles and played golf from time to time. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Chester was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis J. (nee Gray) Kinney; loving father of Steve Kinney (Barbara), Rick Kinney (Kimberle), Chester Kinney Jr, Kimberly Buttner (John) and Belinda Saccuto (Nick); loving grandfather of Steve Kinney Jr, Eric Kinney, Johnny Buttner, Nicholas Saccuto, Shannon Kinney (Dustin), Amanda Saccuto, Jake Kinney, Kelli Carlin and Patrick Carlin (Jennifer); and dear great-grandfather of 9. He was predeceased by his 10 siblings.
