Charlotte H. Smolik, a dedicated individual who graced the world with her presence, has peacefully passed away on March 5, 2024, in Bayside, NY.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Brown) Auld.

In her journey through life, Charlotte wore many hats with grace and diligence. She spent years working in the Accounts Payable Department for Strawbridge & Clothier / Macy's Department Store before eventually moving on to contribute her time and skills to the Upper Darby Township Meals Program for homebound individuals. Additionally, she lent her creative touch to Loft's Candies as a window display decorator. Her dedication and hard work left an indelible mark on those around her.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Charlotte had a wealth of interests and hobbies that brought joy to her life. She found pleasure in visiting casinos, indulging in movies and TV shows—particularly favorites like NCIS, Matlock, Jag, and Murder She Wrote—and crafting homemade chocolates. Her vibrant spirit and love for life shone through in everything she did.

Charlotte's spirit was also deeply intertwined with her faith. She was an avid churchgoer and a cherished member of the American Legion Auxiliary—a testament to her unwavering commitment to both spirituality and community.

Charlotte is predeceased by her beloved husband, Augustine M. Smolik and her precious son, Thomas M. Smolik.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Sr. Charlotte Michael, O'Carm and Ruth Weisgerber (Fred); her dear grandson, Fred Weisgerber; her caring nieces, Gaye Wall and Mary Ann Janca (Glenn), as well as her treasured “daughters of the heart,” Valerie Childs and Sr. Francis Patrick, O'Carm.
