Charlotte Conner

Charlotte A. Conner, 95, of Brookhaven, PA passed away on November 25, 2021. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Allen “Bud” Conner, her daughter Judith Templin and her parents Clyde Martin Abel and Elizabeth Warren Abel

Charlotte attended Upland Schools, graduated from Eddystone High School in 1944 and had been captain of the Girls basketball team. She had previously been employed at Riddle Memorial Hospital for over 20 years in their Business Office. She was a member of Woodlyn Baptist Church, participating in the choir, Keenagers, Community Bible Studies and was the Prayer Chain Chairman. Charlotte had previously been a member of Upland United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was involved with their Children’s Ministry, was a Choir Member and later the Choir Director. She loved music! She sang in grade school, entered competitions, she directed the Christmas Carol singing for patients at Riddle Hospital. Charlotte sang with her two sisters in church and on social occasions. She encouraged others to sing, play an instrument and would often pay for the lessons if necessary. If there was a new style of music, she was there finding out about it and sharing it. She also loved to pray. If there wasn’t a prayer chain established, she organized one. She enjoyed good times and laughed a lot. She loved her family and was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & sister and aunt.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter Linda B. Johnson, grandchildren Timothy (Carol) and Daniel (Jessica) Johnson, great grandchildren Peter, Conner, Alaina & Phillip, sisters Mary Cluelow and Elizabeth Hastie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Saturday December 11, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Woodlyn Baptist Church 1125 MacDade Blvd. Woodlyn, Pa 19094 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made in Charlotte’s name to Salvation Army 151 W. 15th St. Chester, Pa 19015
