Charlotte N. Barnhard, of Havertown, Pennsylvania, age 78, passed away July 28, 2021.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved parents Charlotte (nee-Niece) and Emil G. Barnhard.
She is survived by family friend (niece) Beth Schneck Long, godson (nephew) David Schneck, long-time friend Pat Carbone, as well as many other friends and colleagues.
Charlotte attended Haverford High School and Upsala College and majored in Spanish. After a brief career teaching she became the Assistant Director of the Women’s Golf Assoc. of Philadelphia. She eventually became the Executive Director for the Association and honored that position for 43 years.
Golf was a game she loved and she was very thankful for the many opportunities it provided. Most of all she cherished the many friends she met through golf that enriched her life over the years. Charlotte was an accomplished golfer in her own right. She was a life-long member of Llanerch Country Club, won several junior titles and was the Women’s Club Champion 7 times. Her name is also engraved on 3 of the Golf Associations Trophies. She enjoyed needlework, sewing for the infants at CHOP, gardening and taking care of her precious dachshunds.
We thank her for many fond memories.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Sunday, August 1, 2021, 3:00 – 4:30 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300, followed by her Funeral Service, 4:30 PM.
