In Loving Memory of My Wonderful Husband
Of all the special gifts in life
However great or small
To have you as my Husband
Was the greatest gift of all.
Charles Walton Bonsall Jr., of Newark, Delaware, born November 17, 1944, passed away on March 11, 2026.
Charles (Chuck) was married to Grace D’Intino Bonsall, his loving and devoted wife for over 30 years. He has two children from a former marriage David Bonsall and Brian Bonsall. Chuck also had a half-brother John who has since passed away along with his parents Sophie Paul and Charles Walton Bonsall Sr.
As a young man he spent many years in Hacks Point Maryland with his family. He was a Vietnam Veteran Flight Deck Crash and Salvage in the Navy on the USS Coral Sea CVA43 and proud to serve his country. Chuck worked for over 40 years and retired from Dupont Co. located at 3400 Grays Ferry Ave. Phila., PA. He was a volunteer fireman for Darby Firehouse and a lifelong member. Chuck belonged to the VFW Post: 5428 Collingdale, PA.
He loved history and trivia. Prided himself on being a trivia buff. His friends called him Trivia Chuck. One of his other pleasures was playing horseshoes and corn hole with his friends and neighbors in his community. Always willing to help others with a smile on his face and never a complaint.
Chuck was loved and respected by his nieces and nephews. He was my best friend and a wonderful loving husband and will be missed by many. Please join his family in celebrating his life.
