Charles McGeady

Charles P. McGeady, 90, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away on January 9, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia in 1931, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (née Brogan) McGeady.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth D. (née Devlin); loving father of Johanna Murphy (Joseph), Maureen Miller (David), Charles P. McGeady Jr., Peggy Bryan (William) and Lisa Ann Brennan (Daniel); devoted grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Charles served proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a CPA and partner at A.G. Epstein & Co. After retiring, he and his wife opened Devlin Interiors, an interior decorating and fabric store. He was a former member of the Board of Directors at Gaudenzia, Inc. A hardworking, generous and reserved man, Charles was focused on his faith, family and work. He was a 55 year member of St. Bernadette Church.

Charles was an avid reader who loved sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He loved Wildwood Crest at the Jersey Shore, attending the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah, GA and attending family events.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 9:30-10:20 AM Monday, January 17, 2022 at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM.  Masks are requested for the Viewing and Funeral Mass.  Int. SS Peter & Paul Cem.
