Charles “Chuck” A. Hughlett, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Ann L. Hughlett of Havertown.  He is also survived by his son Charles Hughlett, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.  Charles was predeceased by his son Adam Hughlett, brothers-in-law William (surv. Chuck was born in Taft, California. His parents, Charles A. Hughlett, and Dorothy M. Bradly, passed away in a car accident when Chuck was just two years old. Fortunately, his wonderful grandparents were able to raise and care for him. He grew up fishing and playing baseball and football. He attended high school until his junior year when he left school and married his first wife. They would have two boys together, Chip and Adam.

Chuck worked at Del Taco as a Maintenance Technician. He was responsible for the upkeep of the facilities and would travel to all the locations for

Many years later, at age 34, Chuck would meet his current wife, Ann. It was love at first sight for them and they were married on July 31, 1979. Shortly after, they moved to Philadelphia to be closer to Ann’s family.

Chuck and Ann both worked at the same apartment complex, Lynnewood Gardens, Elkins Park and Sugartown Mews, Devon. Chuck continued as a maintenance technician until his retirement in 2007

Chuck was always on the go. In his younger days, he would be found bowling, building decks, or working on some project. He enjoyed trips, especially to the mountains where he loved to fish. He was extremely fond of country and oldies music. Chuck loved muscle cars and belonged to a car club for many years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, Phillies and Eagles games as well. Chuck was also very fond of animals, and they always loved him.

Although Charles didn't say much about his personal life, or boast about his accomplishments, one could say he lived a life full of love for his family and he will be missed by all.
