Catherine M. Petz

Catherine M. Petz, age 80, passed away at home surrounded by her family, January 25, 2024.  Beloved daughter of the late James and Sarah (nee Torrence) Grimes.

Catherine is survived by her loving children, David J. Petz Jr. (Karen) and Michael K. Petz; Grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Jessica, and Sophia; Sister, Margaret Drew (late Robert). She was predeceased by her siblings, Sarah Whitesell (late Robert) and James Grimes (late Dolores).

Catherine most loved spending time with her family, especially her “girls” - her granddaughters. They brought her the most joy. She loved playing games and just sitting talking with them. She was a devoted mom and grandmother.

Catherine was a housekeeper who loved her job and the people she worked with. She loved going out to the diner and spending time with those she was with. She was a big hearted woman who would give you the shirt off her back, if you needed it.  

"Mom was our pillar and our love." She will be missed!

Relatives and friends are invited to Catherine’s viewing, Tuesday, January 30^th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 followed by her funeral service at 7:00 PM.  Interment private.
