Catherine D. Geller (nee Devlin), age 82, of Broomall, PA, passed away on January 1, 2021.
Born in Darby, PA, to the late Edward P. and Catherine (nee Fennell) Devlin.
Catherine spent majority of her life in Broomall, PA, but grew up in South Philadelphia. She never missed the Mummers Parade or The Lawrence Welk Show. She loved listening to Irish music, spending time with children, entertaining, and organizing events. She enjoyed her experiences with the Forest Service, working with Fire Protection, Human Resources, then later The Communications and Civil Rights Staff. She took pride in saying: “I work with Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl. She received numerous awards for public speaking.
In her retirement, Catherine enjoyed reading stories at Russell Elementary in Broomall, PA and taking her grandsons on outings, especially to the Helicopter Museum, World War II Museum, Valley Forge Park, and The Philadelphia Zoo. She loved spending time at Montego Bay in Wildwood, NJ.
Catherine was the beloved mother of Judith M. Terrell and the late Robert E. Geller (Marybeth); loving sister of Marie E. Devlin and Edward J. Devlin (Mary); and dear grandmother of Joseph and Justin Geller.
Relatives and Friends are invited to Catherine’s Visitation on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by her Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Due to the pandemic, everyone in attendance must wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
