Catherine Fitzpatrick

Catherine C. Fitzpatrick (nee Roddy), age 91, of Marple Township, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 13, 2020.

Catherine (Kate) was born in Philadelphia, PA. She was the loving daughter of the late Martin and Delia (nee Healy) Roddy.

Catherine is predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas E. Fitzpatrick and her precious daughter, Mary Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her loving children, Kathy Rymsa (Jim), Nancy Anszis (the late Gary), Tom Fitzpatrick, Jean Moore (Tim), Joe Fitzpatrick (Colleen) and Kim Mulloy (Chris); 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Catherine is also survived by her sister, Mary and brother, Joe.

With the passing of her husband 40 years ago, Kate stayed active and busy. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, swimming, reading, and volunteering at St. Pius Bingo. She was always one to help a friend and her family. Her most precious time was spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Kate continued to provide joy to everyone she encountered. Her smile and sense of humor brought a smile to everyone fortunate to be in her company.

Kate’s children would like to express our love and gratitude for all the care and support “Team Kate” from Your Place Your Way provided our mom and our family over the past two years.

Due to the current pandemic, immediate services for Kate will be held privately. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
