Carolyn Jeanne Walker passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will not be forgotten. A cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, and cousin. Carolyn brought an infectious positive spirit to all who knew her, conquering challenges with grace and determination.
Carolyn was a devoted wife to beloved husband, Andrew Walker. They created a nurturing home filled with love for their three children: Evan Walker, Liam Walker, and Patrick Walker. Family was central to Carolyn’s life, and her big heart extended to her mother, Maureen (nee Joyce) McElderry, her siblings, Maureen Peltier (late Steve), Kathleen McElderry (Phil Angotti), Patricia McElderry (Mike Schaeffer), and James McElderry (Kim Holliday), as well as, six nieces and two nephews. Carolyn's presence was a light in their lives, and her love will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family.
Carolyn had an unwavering passion for the beach, with Lavallette Beach in New Jersey holding a special place in her heart. Her love for reading, particularly in the company of her book club, paired perfectly with her appreciation for true crime shows, providing a rich tapestry of interests that colored her vibrant life. An avid swimmer, she often found solace in the water, reveling in its serenity.
A once proud resident of Chicago, Carolyn enjoyed everything about the Midwest including her busy work and family life in the city and her treasured vacation time at Walloon Lake.
She was predeceased by her father, James McElderry, whose love and influence shaped her into the extraordinary person she became.
Friends and family are invited to Carolyn’s viewing on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Donohue Funeral Home in Wayne, Pennsylvania. A second viewing will take place at St. Monica Catholic Church in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, on June 28, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at the church from 10:30 AM.
Carolyn Jeanne Walker’s vibrant spirit will forever be remembered, as she made the world a brighter place for those around her. Her legacy of positivity and love serves as an inspiration to continue embracing the beauty of life and the importance of family.
