Carolee K. Risk, of Broomall, PA, affectionately known as “Mimi,” passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, just days before her 87th birthday.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Katherine “Lilly” (née Graef) Buck.
A proud graduate of West Chester University, Mimi devoted her professional life to serving as a counselor in the mental healthcare industry. Her work was more than a career—it was a calling. Through her compassionate guidance and keen understanding, she helped countless individuals shape and define themselves, instilling in them a sense of inner strength and confidence that carried them forward. Mimi had a wonderful way of interacting with people; her presence was a beacon of hope and warmth to those fortunate enough to know her.
Her family, the cornerstone of her life, cherishes her memory with a depth of gratitude and love. They honor her for the unwavering support and endless affection she gave, a sentiment encapsulated beautifully in their heartfelt tribute: “Mimi', we will miss you always, we thank you for everything, and we will love you forever, Mamma!” These words resonate as a testament to the profound and lasting bond she forged with those who knew her best.
Carolee was the beloved wife of the late Timothy A. Risk; the loving mother of T.R. Risk (Marcie) and Jacquelyn Weiss. She was the caring and devoted grandmother of Jagger Risk, Avery Weiss, and Ethan Weiss. Carolee is also survived by her dear sister, Gloria Shaivi, as well as her countless friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.
