Carole Ann Mullin (nee McGovern) was Born September 28, 1938, in Pittsburg, PA, she was daughter of the late Thaddeus Patrick and Dorothy McGovern (nee Pioth). Carole passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Carole was the heart of her family. She made everyone feel loved and special. Carole loved her home and welcomed anyone who entered. Carole adored her family and cherished Sunday afternoons having coffee with her mom and sisters reminiscing of childhood memories.

Carole created a home of love and acceptance. Her home was filled with neighborhood children who enjoyed swimming and playing wiffle ball in the side yard. She hosted gatherings with pig roasts, pony rides and weekend barbecues in the backyard.

Carole loved to dance; dance floor optional. From Neil Diamond and one of her favorite songs, Lady in Red. She enjoyed vacationing at the mountains and North Wildwood NJ especially on Irish weekend.

Her culinary talents were unmatched with Sunday dinners being a highlight of her family gatherings. Carole’s delectable chuck roast, served promptly at 5:30pm became a cherished tradition that gathered everyone around the table. She poured her heart into her cooking, especially when preparing traditional Irish fare like ham and cabbage and her beloved Irish scone. St. Patrick’s Day was close to her heart, reflecting her love for her heritage and the joy of community. It served as another opportunity for her to gather friends and family, showcasing her love for life and the magic of togetherness.

Carole was the beloved wife of the late John “Bart” Barton Mullin; loving mother of Linda Marie Mullin, Karen Irene Winnemore (Lew), John “Jack” Barton Mullin (Christine), and the late Diane Mullin; adoring grandmother of Lewis John Barton Winnemore and Patrick Thaddeus Winnemore; caring sister of Patricia Jerome (the late Joseph), and the late Susan Burgess, Thomas McGovern and Maureen McGovern.
