Carol V. O'Loughlin, born September 11, 1943, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy deeply rooted in love, family devotion, and cherished memories that will endure with all who knew her.
Carol was a woman who lived with passion and dedication to those she held dear. A true matriarch, she made it a point to attend every one of her grandchildren’s events, regardless of the distance. For Carol, family was everything. Being present for her loved ones and showing unwavering support were the most important aspects of her life, reflecting the boundless commitment she carried throughout her years.
Her interests and joys extended beyond her family as well. Carol loved visiting casinos, finding delight and excitement in the vibrant atmosphere they offered. She was also an avid traveler, favoring trips to the islands such as Saint Thomas, St. Martin, and the Bahamas, where she embraced the beauty and serenity of these tropical paradises. Family vacations to Disney World were some of her happiest times, bringing joy and laughter that she treasured deeply.
Carol is lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph O’Loughlin; their children, Joseph O’Loughlin (Jennifer) and Christopher O’Loughlin (Carol); and her grandchildren Ryan, Morgan, Shannon, and Ethan. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Scullion. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph P. and Laura (née Czach) Scullion and her brother, Joseph Scullion.
A visitation will be held on June 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service from 11:00 a.m. at Donohue Funeral Home - West Chester, located at 1627 W. Chester Pike, West Chester, Pennsylvania, 19382. Interment private.
Carol V. O'Loughlin’s remarkable spirit, her dedication to family, and the warmth she extended to all will be profoundly missed but forever remembered. Her presence brought light and love to many, and her memory will remain a cherished treasure in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
