Carmel Flacco

Carmel Flacco (nee Troilo), age 64, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on August 12, 2022. Born in Darby, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita Marie (nee Dippolito).

Carmel had many occupations such as a bookkeeper for Mackey & Flynn for 16 years, a service order clerk for Williams Service, a teacher’s aid at the Hopewell School, a teacher’s aid at the Brandywine School of Early Learning, and a learning support aid for the Downingtown Area School District for 9 years. She enjoyed reading, rooting for all Philly sports teams, playing cards, crafts, baking, cooking, scrapbooking, and attending theater shows. She was very fond of her annual vacations to Ocean City, NJ and her periodic vacations to Disney resorts. Her favorite vacation was her family trip to Italy in 2016.

Carmel was someone you could count on to be involved. She was a Girl Scout volunteer and served as “Cookie Mom”. She also volunteered for various activities at Uwchlan Hills elementary school. She was a member at Saint Elizabeth Church where she helped count the collections monthly and assisted with fund raising for the capital campaign as well as assisted with CCD classes.

Carmel was the loving wife of Brian Flacco. The adoring mother to her daughter Natalie Flacco. The beloved sister to Paula Troilo Reilly. Carmel and Brian had just celebrated their 30^TH wedding anniversary.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 9:00-10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 120 St Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, PA 19425 and to her Funeral Mass at 10 AM. The family asks if you could please wear a mask if attending either the viewing or service, thank you. Interment will be held privately.
