Brian Timothy Hickey

Brian Timothy Hickey, age 48, of Havertown, PA, passed away on July 9, 2023.

Brian was a life-long resident of Delaware County, Pennsylvania.  Born in Darby, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Carole Jane (née White) Hickey.  Brian grew up in the Westbrook Park section of Upper Darby and raised his family in Havertown.

After graduating from Cardinal O’Hara High School, he entered the electrical apprenticeship program with IBEW Local 98, becoming a journeyman electrician like his father, working on many projects throughout Philadelphia.  Brian was a proud union member, especially proud of his Irish heritage and his large Irish family, and an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

Brian was the husband of Lisa Lynn (née Gotchel) Hickey; the loving father of Lillian Hickey and Shane Hickey; dear brother of John Hickey (Susan), Sharon Hickey, Suzanne Hickey Swain, Sean Hickey, and Maureen Hickey.  He is also survived by his father-in-law, Joel Gotchel, siblings-in-law, Andrew Gotchel (Linda) and Ingrid Greenwall (Clinton), as well as his nieces and nephews, Samantha Boyle, Stephanie Swain, Meghan Hickey, Patrick Hickey, Andrew Hickey, Alexis Hickey, Caroline Gotchel, Charlotte Gotchel, Conrad Greenwall, Alduin Hickey, and great-nephew, Teddy Boyle.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation  10:00 AM-12:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023  at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300, followed by his Remembrance Service 12:00 PM.  Interment private.
