Bernard McElroy

Bernard J. McElroy, age 72, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on October 18, 2019. Born in Darby, PA to the late Peter J. and Mary Anne (nee Anderson) McElroy.

Bernard graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1965. Bernard was a retired U.S. Post Office worker. He was an avid bowler and loved the Phillies and the Eagles.

Bernard was the loving father of Catherine Molineux (Lee) and Caroline McElroy, and dear brother of John McElroy, Dennis McElroy, the late Peter J. McElroy, Jr., the late Lawrence McElroy, Rose Mary McFeely, Catherine Todd (Emory), Fran Moser, Ailean Robbins (Dewey), Maureen Smith (Dave), Patricia McGill (Patrick), Anne Chioldi, and Maryanne Pingitore (Bob). He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to Bernard’s Visitation on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 9:15-10:15 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:15 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
