Barbara L. Wade

Barbara  L. "Barb" Wade passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 70. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward K. and Mary (nee Fonder) Wade, and her brothers, Butch, Bobby, and Chuck.

Barbara is survived by her beloved sister, Beverly Demcher; nephew, David Demcher; and niece, Sage Wade.

Barb led a life marked by her commitment to her career, education, and her numerous passions. A proud graduate of Penn State, Barbara devoted 32 years of her life to serving as a dedicated postal worker. Her colleagues and the community admired her work ethic and the warmth she brought to every interaction. Barbara’s professional journey was characterized by a commitment to excellence and a genuine care for the people she served.

Her creative pursuits defined much of her spirit. Barbara was fabulous at knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed attending craft shows, where she would share her passion and creativity with others. Additionally, Barbara had a love for cooking, which often brought family and friends together around the dinner table.

A viewing will be held on June 9, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Knoetgen - Donohue Funeral Home in Morton, PA, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:30 AM. Interment at Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA.
